A message from Caroline Thompson, FSAS, 30/5/2011
Karen McCallum-Smith will be taking up post from 1 June 2011 and will lead on toxins and oversee all aspects of the monitoring programme and policy.
Kasia Kazimierczak will provide advice on technical aspects of LCMS and HPLC implementation for FSAS; toxin risk assessment, norovirus surveillance and other shellfish research projects;
Graham Ewen will continue to lead on depuration, chemical contaminants, phytoplankton and database contracts/SLAs, and will support on toxin monitoring;
I will continue to lead on classifications/E coli, the Sanitary Survey Programme and Sampling Officers for FSAS;
Calum Yule will continue to be main contact for new classification applications/appeals panel.
Daily and weekly results will continue to be supplied to local authorities by Catherine Ferro.
