Stranraer Oyster Festival
Cancelled for 2020

Stranraer Oyster festival – Cancelled

The celebration of Scotland’s wild, native oysters has sadly been cancelled for September 2020, due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Marking the start of the native oyster season this year will be a quite affair, without the bright lights, tasty food, celebrity chefs, and the Big Bash, which normally starts the oyster season. The festival in Stranraer would simply have not worked under the new normal, with social distancing measures in place, so the Board of the Stranraer Development Trust made the decision to cancel the festival in 2020, and come back stronger in 2021.

They hope you will be able to join them in September 2021.
